Joshua 2009-2010 Year

It’s hard to believe that the Joshua 2009-2010 year is just a few months away.  If you are interested in applying make sure you download the application and send it in ASAP as well as set up a phone interview.  Applications are due May 1st and we will have the first round of decisions made by the 15th.  Applicants are more then welcome to send in applications after the May 1st deadline but will be put on a waiting list if all the spots are filled.   If you have more questions feel free to e mail us at joshuainfo@humelake.org or to set up an interview by calling Jen Manlief at 559 305-7674

2009-2010 cost breakdown

In recognition of the fact that most young adults who find themselves in the wilderness of their lives also find themselves disappointingly short on cash, the total cost of the Joshua Wilderness Institute for a year is only $8,720. In order to encourage students to take personal responsibility for the payment of these funds, approximately one third of this cost is deferred (as shown below) by students’ mandatory weekend employment at Hume Lake Christian Camps, their faithful attention to rotational daily tasks, and intermittent work projects assigned as part of the Joshua curriculum. The remaining two thirds is paid in four payments throughout the year, one of which is a non-refundable $4,500 attendance guarantee due each August before the program begins. While our goal is simply to keep the tuition approximate to what it would cost an average student to live at home for a year, most families find that this arrangement actually saves them money.  Israel trip cost is separate.  Estimated cost for 2010 trip is $4500.  Click here to learn more about the Israel portion of Joshua or here to look at the Frequently asked Questions page.
