Sam Meier SEPT. 6-9 & SEPT. 13-16, 2010
Sam Meier received his Ph.D. from Harvard University 1987 in Hebrew and Semitic Languages and Literatures. Currently an associate professor at Ohio State University, Sam has received many academic honors and awards, authored two books and is a gifted expositor of God's word.

John Saltee Oct. 4-7, 2010
John is a retired Fire Captain from the Los Angeles City Fire Department. After retirement, John went back to school and graduated from Prairie Bible College in Three Hills, Alberta, Canada. He is currently a student at Westminster Theological Seminary in Escondido. John has been asked to fill the senior pastor position of a Presbyterian Church in North San Diego County, and he has found that to be the most fulfilling position he has ever held. He has also served as Senior Chaplin at the Ventura County Rescue Mission, ministering to homeless men, women and children, as well as being a primary teacher to men in a ten month drug and alcohol recovery program. John has two grown sons and lives with his wife Becki in Sun City, California.

Mike is the Family Life Pastor at Campus Bible Church in Fresno and the Director of JARON Ministries. He holds a Master's degree from Denver Seminary and has served in a wide variety of ministries since 1974.
Mark Strauss Oct. 25-28, 2010
Mark is a professor of New Testament at Bethel Seminary in San Diego, and he is a frequent speaker at camps, conferences, retreats and churches. Using humor and relevant personal applications, he seeks to communicate God's Word clearly and accurately by making it relevant to all aspects of life. His passion is to call God's people to love the Lord their God with all their heart, soul, mind, and strength, and to love one another as Christ loves the church. In addition to his teaching, he is presently interim senior pastor at the First Baptist Church of San Diego.
Matt Lantz Nov. 1-4, 2010
Matt is a graduate of Texas Christian University and Dallas Theological Seminary, as well as a resident of the Tyler, Texas community where he is a member of Sylvania Church. Matt’s joys are teaching and discipleship. Fortunately, he found a Christian camp, Pine Cove, that pays him money to do what he loves. There, he serves as the Director of the Forge, an eight month discipleship community designed to prepare emerging leaders for a lifetime of ministry.
John Alvarado Nov. 8-11, 2010
John founded Reflect Ministries, where he ministers to children and families in poverty. He has also spent time overseas in South America and Papua New Guinea where he has visited over nine different tribal cultures in the Amazon and Guinean Jungles. John's desire is to serve God with his entire life and he challenges others to do the same.
Jim Cecy Nov. 29 - Dec. 2, 2010
With a Doctor of Ministry degree from Western Conservative Baptist Seminary, Jim is the president of JARON Ministries International, a training ministry for Christian leaders in the U.S. and abroad. He is also the Senior Pastor-Teacher at Campus Baptist Church in Fresno, California. He is a regular at Hume Lake, giving insight and application to Biblical Truths. Jim's knowledge of language and his passion for the Word are apparent and refreshing.
Dave Hansen Dec. 6-9, 2010
Dave graduated from Seattle Pacific University and Fuller Theological Seminary. He has spent many years teaching high school and coaching football, as well as spending 8 years on the Young Life staff in Central California. He also spent several years coaching football at the college level and in Europe. He is currently President of Students International, an organization that combines full-time mission work with the poor in community development along with providing opportunities for short term mission participants. He lives with his wife Janice in Reedley, CA and has 4 grown children and 6 grandchildren.
Rich Ferreira Dec. 13-16, 2010
After graduating with his Masters in Theology from Talbot Seminary, Rich and his wife Becky began working full-time for Hume Ministries in 2001. Rich’s passions are discipleship and teaching God’s word in a way that brings it alive in today’s world. In his spare time, Rich enjoys international travel (especially Israel), motorcycle riding, off-roading and spending time with his wife, daughter Ellie and son Jaron.
Fred Blackburn Jan. 3-6, 2011
Fred received a B.A. in History from San Diego Christian College (CHC) in 1990 and a M.A. in Philosophy from San Diego State University in 2002. He taught his first class at San Diego Christian College in 1991 and was promoted from instructor to assistant professor in 1997.
Fred lives on the edge of western civilization with his sister and her six children. He is Uncle/Dad and even though a hermit at heart, laughs and rejoices at the bounty with which God has filled his life. Fred love trees, coffee, and people, not necessarily, but occasionally in that order.
Everyone has a philosophy of life, although not everyone is a philosopher. Fred's goal is to teach the students how to question and think, how to evaluate data and be aware of their own and others presuppositions. His applied philosophy is education over indoctrination, toleration over acceptance, faith over reason, and ultimately Jesus over self.
Dave Schlener Jan. 10-13, 2011
As an MK growing up around bush planes in the Brazilian Amazon, Dave Schlener got hooked early on flying. He later graduated from West Point as Barrett Scholar, and served as an Airborne Ranger officer for 5 years. Coming to his senses, he pursued a Masters at Talbot Seminary and then ran the MAF/World Vision Famine Relief Airlift in Ethiopia for several years.
Since, 1985, Dave has flown for American Airlines, where he instructs on the B777. He teaches Leadership and Decision Making there, to universities and to ministries. Dave married well above his station in life, and knows it. He and Kim are the proud parents of 4 fellow pilgrims. They all laugh a lot together as they wend their way Home.
PJ and Sherri Lewis Jan. 17-20, 2011
P.J. and his wife Sheri have been working coming up to Hume since 1994. Their ministry is one of faith. Only faith can make trusting disciples of Jesus and develop a real love for God and others. P.J. is currently a teaching/counseling pastor at Hilltop Community Church in Carson City, NV.
Josh Riebock Feb. 7-10, 2011
Josh Riebock was born in the western suburbs of Chicago and spent the next 18 years trying to avoid God. The past decade Josh has spent his time studying culture, story, and the Bible and communicating those things across the country and the world at churches, college campuses, conferences, concerts, and seminars in raw and authentic ways. Using his own experiences, observations on life and culture, and the story of scripture, Josh has the unique ability to connect the story of God and the story of his audience while getting the real Gospel underneath people's skin.
Jeramy Clark Feb. 14-17, 2011
Jeramy Clark is the pastor of growth and discipleship at Emmanuel Faith Community Church in Escondido, CA. He and Jerusha, his wife of 12 years, have published ten books between them, and love ministering together through writing and speaking. The Clarks have two daughters and love the LA Lakers, traveling together, and relishing great meals. They also share a passion for helping people know and enjoy God.

Brad is a graduate of Dallas Theological Seminary and is currently the senior pastor of The Well Community Church in Fresno, CA. He has a passion for the ministry and exposing the truths in the word of God.
Chris Mitchell Mar. 7-10, 2011
Dr. Mitchell is the Director of the Wade Center and Assistant Professor of Theological Studies at Wheaton College. He received a Ph.D. from the University of St. Andrews, Scotland, where his concentration was Historical Theology. Lecturing often on J. R. R. Tolkien and C. S. Lewis, Dr. Mitchell has also authored several published works on Lewis, including "Bearing the Weight of Glory: The Cost of C. S. Lewis' Witness.” Dr. Mitchell and his wife, Julie, live in Wheaton with the two youngest of their four children.
Randy Carpenter Mar. 14-17, 2011
Before becoming a CPA, Randy received a B.S. in Business administration from Cal Poly San Luis Obispo and a Masters of Tax from the University of Denver. Randy currently works for an accounting firm consulting businesses on tax planing strategies. Randy has a passion for teaching Biblical financial principles in a simple and practical way. Randy and his wife Lindsey live in Newbury Park, CA and are expecting their first child this fall.
Ken Graves Mar. 21-24, 2011
Ken is the founding pastor of Calvary Chapel Bangor. He grew up in Bangor, Maine, but left at the age of 16 to pursue training in the ministry. At the age of 22, he responded to a call from God to present the Gospel and build a church in his hometown. Ken also has a radio show broadcast on a radio station established by his church.

Tim+Anne evans have been happily married for thirty-four years. They are parents, grandparents, and ordained ministers. Tim has a degree in fire science. Anne is a licensed nurse; a certified Life Purpose Coach; and certified Splankna Practitioner. They both have Master and Doctor of Practical Ministry diplomas from Wagner Leadership Institute; and are Nationally Certified Healing House Network ministers. They have co-authored a number of REAL LIFE marriage tools.
